Bargaining Session Update: May 23, 2025
LMU and the SEIU 721 Non-Tenure Track (NTT) bargaining unit met for the ninth
session today, continuing efforts to reach a first collective bargaining agreement.
LMU remains committed to a fair, principled, and collaborative bargaining process that upholds the integral role of our non-tenure-track faculty while prioritizing an exceptional academic experience for our students. Guided by our mission and values, the university continues to pursue an agreement that meaningfully supports faculty and ensures LMU’s long-term sustainability and academic excellence.
Proposals
At today’s session, the union presented two counterproposals, and the university presented three counterproposals. LMU continues to pursue an ambitious bargaining schedule and remains committed to reach a first collective bargaining agreement.
The teams shared their rationales and interests in the various counter proposals they presented. It was a collaborative and productive session.
